Adukalam !! The team strikes again

Hi folks,
This Pongal , Dhanush, Vetrimaran , GVPrakash had again come back  , after their previous outing Polladhavan. Polladhavan was set in Chennai background , with bike as one of the characters which travels through out the movie. No wonder it was a big advertisement for Pulsar , it also had a good cast, Daniel Balaji and Kishore playing the important roles. This time too Vetrimaran , had found the apt people for the characters . Dhanush , no wonder he essays a boy-next-door role at ease , his performance being good throughout the  movie . His slang of Madurai dilect too , is nice , has taken a lot of effort for it for sure. This story , is set in Madurai , showing a different life of Madurai .

Madurai , traditionally shown in movies as a violent place , like Kudappa area in all Telugu movies , has been showed in a different view this time . While Polladavan showed the life of  Chennai based rowdies, this flick has cock fighting as its essence.
The stage is set like , its between 2 gangs ,in which one has won the games continuously . And the story continues , where Dhanush , Kishore , and Pettaikarar as a team defeat the other continuously in the fights. All 3 have portrayed their characters very cleanly . First half is very racy , with crisp editings and nice camera work, Particularly those scenes involving the fight of cocks , just before the interval is very clean and awesome to see. While Polladavan , showed the black market of bikes , this shows the things involved in fights, where losing is equivalent to losin one's life. Some scenes involving training of cock for fighting ,by Dhanush is very good, its like cock has been given a good screen presence,that also shows this fights are nt jus for fun .
And the story folds to much more heights with ego clashes between Pettaikarar and Dhanush , and could have been done better there, a bit more would have made it a awesome experience. Dhanush consideres Pettaikarar as his father , so he never suspects the wrong doings as Pettaikarar's revenge , and that serves the climax, so some feel the climax should have been better , but whatever the second half showed, climax justified it. This movie stands out , as there is no unwanted song sequences involved, and 2 songs Otha solala , and Yathe Yathe , stands out with the video, are my favourites.
No seperate comedians are there in the cast,while Dhanush adds fun element in the movie with his typical dialogues , which shows even jus-nex-door-boys can do anything lik big guys. Credits to the dialogues too.
Movie has fun,revenge,and a lot of emotions handled in the right manner, not even once u feel thats stretched ,and thats the big plus point in this movie. So do rush to theaters and see this flick .. ( Movie is shot in dark places, most of the scenes in second half is in night , so pirated cd's wont show yo the essence of the movie ).
Vetrimaran , again strikes , and Dhanush looks tailor made hero for his stories,hope they deliver in future too..
Vetrimaran makes his presence ,in the chase sequences in the dark streets of Madurai , and particularly in fight scenes involving men too , their fight too looks similar to cock-fights , and the screenplay. Credits to his work. !!
