Life's twists..Ena vazhka da ithu

Enna Vazhka da ithu ???!!
Its been more than a year since I started working, so earning.. Looking back , I find it full of twists, surprises, sad things, happy things, in short a eventful life..Of all things in life, we think once we start earning we will be free, we will enjoy, live our life the way we want, will be happier than before.. But unfortunately its not true.. Last weekend made me realize this..The events as follows...

Friday 9/9/2011 :6 PM

I was waiting in the bus stop just opposite to my office, as it was weekend, my office looked deserted at 430 itself, people went to their cabs, I stayed till 6 there passing time, as I decided to go to my sisters place,and she will be back from office only by 730 , so the wait, and I had decided to start to Omalur, a place near Salem , to my friend's bro marriage directly from office, but my sis said she too will join and so I had to go to her house first..Fifteen mins passed, no bus, another 15 mins passed, 3 volvo's passed which did not even bother to stop , as it was jam packed. Finally after 45 mins I got a bus, and I reached my sis place around 9 , 3 hours for 20 kms !! Yea, that's blore for u !!

She had to work on Saturday too, so she couldn't afford to take leave on Saturday, and hence I was to travel alone, and it was raining madly, so I decided to stay there , and board the bus next day morning. We were playing cards, and I was doing multitasking seeing Ind Eng cricket match,which we lost again.. We kept on playing till 4 in the morning, and I slept only for a few hours, took the bus by 8 in Silkboard to Omalur.. Couldn sleep much as it was crowded, and ambiance level you know how it will be in govt buses. So with just 4 hours of sleep I went to Omalur, was received by my friend, the only doctor in our gang..I spent some time with his parents, then it was full work, printing flex for the marriage, arranging things, etc etc and it kept on going..Enna Vazhka da ithu :( :(  

Saturday 10/9/2011 : 12 Noon
I was so close with his parents, that they called me for doing some important things during the pooja , as my friend was not available, he had some other important jobs to do, and he had left to Salem, to receive my other friends who had come..Then after all the formalities the reception went on, and my other friends had finally come,'Porupu' Anand , 'Shutter' Prakash, 'Aplus' Gautham, and 2 more frens Abi and Arun skipped it. Its been  more than a year since we all have been together, I have been meeting them all individually, but unfortunately we all couldn be together at the same time in the same place.

So the reception went on, and we were all together, we were the last to come to the stage where the bride and bridegroom were standing, of course we were not the last to eat, as expected we were in the last row in the hall, and had put a small circle, and were totally disconnected from the happenings in the hall, we were all just chatting..Enna vazhka da ithu :) :)

Chatting continued, we were looking like our past, kept on pulling legs, it went on and on..
Saturday 10/10/2011 : Midnight..
Continued.. We were the last in the hall, everyone else left, we told pick us up in the last trip after all have been dropped wherever they stayed, it went on and on..Enna vazhka da ithu :) :)

We started to Salem, where we had our rooms booked, five in a maruti 800, at midnight in the deserted NH, speedometers touching 100km/hr was just great, and we were in the hotel room, we had 2 rooms available, we decided to stick to one, the hotel owner said , ' 2 rooms were booked for u guys, and its already paid, so stay in two rooms' we said , 'its been a long time since we met, slept in the same room, we will stay in one, dont bother about the room, we wont ask you to return the money'.

 Chatting continued about how each other's job is going on, what everybody had decided to do next, went on and on, serious topics , but it was a relaxed discussion, each one saying their own life,with our groups trademark 'Sakkarakati da ne'  and 'Pavakka da nan', went on and on..Of all time , we discuss serious topics at 2:30 in the morning, thats wat frens is all about, with the lights still on, all of us remembering our hostel days, where we were together, those evergreen days..

We got a call from Karthi, 'Dei machi.. What the f**k are u guys doing, marriage was from 530 to 630 , and this is the umpteenth time that I am calling u, and this is the first time u guys are picking the call' we said ' machi .. we wil be there da..we will come for sure'..

  In just an hour, we all 4 had got brushed, bathed, dressed , and we reached the hall in the next 30 mins..Thats bachelors life, spend as much time as possible in sleep, get up in the last minute , and get ready quick in a hurry, miss the function, but who cares about the function, it's just us who we care about !!
We as expected, had breakfast before we met the couple, and my parents too had come from Tuticorin to Omalur to attend this marriage, and my friends, parents all were together, we were enjoying chatting..Enna vazhka da ithu :) :)

 The time has come to part ways again, with all 'Pappom machi..kudia sikram oru trip podrom,***** mariadaia vandu seru , class iruku exam iruku vela iruku nu solada'  and me and Gautham and my parents and one more guy, who had come to attend marriage boarded train to Coimbatore, and the other 2 went to Bus stand to board bus to Chennai..My parents were like, dont hurry to rail station, 'we will miss the train anyways, dont hurry now,only 5 mins left, no rash driving'  we were like ' 2 mins to reach, so left wit 3 mins!  one can take ticket, one can take the luggages, one can put seats'  implementing our divide and conquer strategy, and some times, rash work does help !!
We boarded the train, it was crowded, and thank God our strategy worked, we got seats..

 We reached CBE, ate in Gautham's cousin's house, he had decided to take his cousin's car to Mysore, so thats the reason we went there to CBE, took the car, passed the Cross-cut Road in Gandhipuram, saw SenthilKumaran theater where we used to watch movies when in college, went through the streets, where we had walked infinite number of times, it was all coming back, those beautiful days !! We never had money, just with the money, which our parents gave us, we watched movies, gave treats, ate in the dhaba outside our collg, went to trips occasionally, we were the best managers that time, with the limited resources we had, we did what we could do most, we planned well, huh !! Speaking of college life,

Myself and Aplus , in car speaking of the life in college, when we had no money, but enjoyed, and comparing it to the the life now, drove on and on, and finally we climbed the hill, Sathyamangalam, which had 27 hair pin bends, and reached Mysore, and I missed the train to Bangalore, so I decided to stay in his room, and start early morning, I was planning for a nice sleep in Bangalore,as I had slept very less for the past few days, but I had missed the train..Then went to room, and was seeing the final overs of the match, and finally it resulted in a tie..Enna Vazhka da ithu :( :(

I went to the railway station, took the train, and to my surprise it was jam packed, and TTR said no seats in reservation, go to the unreserved section, so I had no other go, stood for the full journey time of 3.5 hrs, and couldn get even a wink of sleep, that too in the jam packed unreserved compartment, near the toilet , huh !!

During that journey time , I realized , life's best moments were there,when we had no money, no responsibilities, no duties, no work, and as one of my favourite dialogue in one of my favourite movie Mudhalvan goes ' Vazhkailayum VCR la irukra madiri oru rewind button irunda evalo nala irukum'
